Had my appt today at Hopkins and I have to tell you Dr. Michelle Petri is a one in a million. She is straight forward and to the point but what a wonderful caring Dr. If any of you can make it to Baltimore she is well worth the trip.

Nothing to figure out. She said I had Lupus without even a shadow of a doubt in her mind. She has some concerns on my current medications and other Dx such as IC. She is feeling like some of my other "issues" are directly related to the Lupus and will be working on defining those aspects. I see you have IBD too. I am thrilled with her. I feel confident she can help me.

Chaya, I am glad you found a great doctor and hope your health begins to improve.

Justonce, I too ended up going to 3 rheumy's but 3 was the magic number for me, my doctor is in Atlanta around Piedmont Hospital, her name is Dr. Wilson. Let me know if you would like her phone number.

Yes, she is WONDERFUL!!! It takes a while to get in to see her and you usually have to wait in the waiting room when you do get in but she is totally worth it!! She takes her time and listens! I go see her tomorrow and I drive almost an hour. Good luck, let me know how it goes. Take care

Awwww man, I can see why she isn't though, she is always VERY busy. She does have a PA now, so I'm sure that helps a lot. I've heard pretty good things about her hubby Dr. Hayes Wilson.

thanks for the great info, guys, i live in Columbus, Ga because my hubby is stationed at Ft. Benning right now and i really want to find a doctor that can give me some more definate answers about getting pregnant and all that stuff. I think in my heart i still havent given up the idea that i can't get pregnant. I still havent spoken with the endocrinologists to find out if i am still fertile enough to even get pregnant. When I bring I up with other docs they ask if I still get my period regularly and I tell them that I do because I still get my period just like before so maybe there is still a chance. And I want to hear the transplant nephrologist's opinon and it would be absolutely wonderful to see an actual lupus doctor. hopefull i can get it to see one of them, If I have to I will fly to Baltimore and see the other doc.
