I am not sure where my old post on the pregnancy is, but I have news. I am scheduled for induction on Friday. The OB doctors have decided that too much is going on to delay. I am back on prednisone and baby is not moving as much as he should be at this point though an ultrasound showed he is doing okay. We just do not want to delay much longer despite this being 4 weeks early because it is better to have baby out of me and able to be monitored if need be than to risk my immune system attacking him. I may not be online much for a while because we still have stuff to get ready as they expect baby will come home with me. I hope that the next week or so goes well for everyone. I will get online again when I can.

Thanks everyone. I cannot believe how much we have not done yet. I am trying to schedule a car seat inspection as we speak and somehow have to get my bedroom re-arranged tonight. There is so much not done that I wanted to have done. But the doctors kept talking about making it to 39 weeks despite the recent problems. Their turn around has a lot to do with confirmation I am losing my remission- prednisone made me feel so much better it is kind of scary and the swelling in my hands was gone within 12hrs of the first dose and the swelling in my feet is going away. I have no idea when I will be able to share the news of the baby, my husband will be doing a lot of arranging while I am in the hospital.

Well, they discovered I was already in early labor and they could not do an amnio. So as I was not progressing very well at the hospital they said I could come home, rest, eat, and walk to get things moving. I will go back in later and once I am at 4cm they will admit me. They said it would be less stressful on my body this way and I would not spend hours on my back so they could watch the baby. I move fast once I hit 4-5cm so they are hoping I do so sometime tonight. I should deliver by tomorrow afternoon though.

Well, my labor has stalled again. I am under orders to get a good sleep and try walking again tomorrow. When my contractions get 5 minutes apart and are uncomfortable I am to go back in. I made it to 2 and 75%, which means another 2cm and they will break my water. I am so darned tired.

I'm sorry all of this is taking so long. It has to be hard thinking that you're going in to the hosptal to be induced only to be sent home. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, after 16+ hours sleep I am contracting again, this time they are further apart but last 90 seconds which means they are most likely doing something instead of just wearing me out. I will be going out to do some more walking in 2-3 hours, I have done 45 minutes already today but decided I would like to rest for a while to make sure that I do not get worn out too soon. I really prefer not being given pitocin- I had it with my first baby and the labor was horrible compared to my others.

I figure slow and steady is fine, pitocin could make it necessary to do a c-section and my placenta is all accross the front of my uterus making it dangerous- they would have to cut through it to deliver surgically which means I would be hemorraging until they got the baby and placenta out. I will do it the old fashion way thanks I prefer to avoid blood products.

Thanks, I keep contracting but am making zero progress. They will decide by Thursday what the heck we are going to do. I will be 37 weeks Wednesday and legally an amnio is not required for induction after that point.

I woke up contracting every ten minutes and with my boobs swollen two sizes at least. I am on hold for a nurse at my OB office to see when I should give in and go to the hospital. I am so tired of this. I want this baby out of me now. My boobs hurt rather baddly from the swelling.
