Hi Chrissy,

I noticed you posted a couple of times on other threads, and wanted to start a topic just for you so we can get to know you better.  You won't get lost in all the postings this way!

It's good to learn that your lupus is "mild".  You're very fortunate!  I hope and pray it stays that way for you.  Yes, everyone who is on Plaquenil gets that eye exam.  It's really important.

Glad you feel welcome here.  Looking forward to talking with you more,

Ginny

Hello Denise, I'm also new to the board. This only my second day. I'm not new to Lupus it's will be 14 years in Sept. I do like to read how other deal with some problem I have. I have been told I have a mild case, but after read the board I cansay that I am very lucky. I never thought I'd say that about Lupus. I am on Plaqunil Vit D , B. I get blood test done every 6 month before my rheumy visit. Does anyone else who takes Plaqunil get a special eye test. I get one once a year to seei if it has done any damage to my eyes. After almost 14 years ther is no damage.l Good health to all. uni-corn

Hi everyone. I am new today my second day. I'm glad I saw this page on hives. I told my Dr. and Rheumy about my hive and both told me it is from my lupus . I only know of one other person with Lupus and I don't see her often. I get hive when I get upset. The first time I got them was at mothers funeral 11 years ago. I had Lupus for 2 1/2 years then. Now , when I start felling the hives I tell my self to relax. It works most of the times. If they don't go away I take a Benadryl and cool towel or bath. I'm alergic to Aveeno products. I just got over a severe rash on my face and neck for their suntan lotion. Take care everyone. uni-corn
