Hi domanique,

Welcome to the forum. It doesn't ring a bell for me . . . . but Lupus can do many really whacky things. Hopefully some of the other will be along soon who may know something about the lumps.

Sorry . . . not much help . . . but wanted to welcome you.

Blessings!

I wonder if it could be a rheumatoid nodule - the ones that are common with rheumatoid arthritis?

I have a hard lump on the inside side of my wrist. It is not a cyst. My rheumatolgist said it was from lupus and said not to worry about it unless it hurt or caused problems. It has gotten bigger but other than the fact that it looks weird, I just figure it is just one more "fun" thing to deal with.

I don't know much about the other types of bumps. But Since it's red and hot, you definitely should get the doc to see it. It could be an infection--sometimes my boyfriend just gets these like localized infected bumps like that, or a sign of more widespread infection or an infected bite of some kind. I'm getting bit a lot lately!

If its more of a knot then I know what you mean. There is a thread about this from a few weeks ago. They are hot to the touch..itch and burn and also painful. Check the other thread for more info. Its a normal symptom but not common.
