Hi, butterflake, I was wondering the same -- how are you doing? I meant to ask for your phone number when we met, but somehow got distracted. Sigh. The fog!

Hello ladies . . . . I looked in Donna's profile and she hasn't visited the forum since June 11. So I'm not sure if she doesn't use the computer too often or if she is real sick. ????????

Hi Donna . . . wishing you the best!! Hoping you are feeling so well that you don't need/want to come here!!!

Blessings!

She is quite ill, and was having a lot of shakiness in her hands as well as other issues when we met on the 26th. I doubt she has been able to do much on the computer because of that -- my understanding was that normally she would be using it daily in the course of her work.

Doesn't mean we can't send her good thoughts, etc this way!

PS. I just sent her an email with a link to this thread, so maybe if she checks that she'll be able to log on & see our well-wishes.

Hi Everyone. Thank you so much for the well wishes.  I'm still very sick and the docs haven't figured out what's wrong.  Just sitting up causes me to break into cold sweats. I sure hope they figure this out soon.  This bridge is long, shaking, and missing some planks!  I'll keep you updated.  Love, Butterflake

Hi Everyone. This morning is the best I've had in several days. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and combed my hair...Oooooo :-)   I also sat with my sweet BF and read the paper and now I'm at the computer!  I'll be needing a nap soon, but this is VERY encouraging.  The docs still haven't figured out what's wrong, but my ENT gave me antibiotics and referred me to an ENT specialist who I see next week. Regardless, I'm improving thanks to my dear friends Babs, Barb, Linda, Lynn Hippi, Karen, Rosie, Stacie, and Debbie. You guys are great! Love, Butterflake

Hi Flake,
Sorry to read you've been so sick....glad to hear you're doing a bit better. I think it could be the thought of fireworks that helped you perk up. Maybe those antibiotics will help, but sure hope the docs will firgure out what in the heck has caused the problems in the first place. You take care.

Hi Everyone. I'm still improving. The swelling in my parotid glands seems to be back to normal so my face doesn't look so much like a basketball; I now just look like a squirel with nuts stuffed in her cheeks. Anyway, the antibiotics seem to be working. I have a little more energy each day. I'm sure it didn't help that the docs made me a prednisone test subject with up to 60mg and down to 8mg within a few days, but from working in hospitals I know that when docs can't figure what's wrong they have to try something. Emmi, I didn't watch fireworks, but I know that the energy and prayers each of you are sending me is speeding my recovery.  Love, Flake
