I'm having a problem with muscle spasms on both side of my neck, it hurts real bad and I feel like screaming when it catches. I have had this off and on for a while now but its more often now. Has anyone had this problem? I take flexeril but it still hurts.

I had the same thing during a really bad RA flare. It was still bothering me months after everything else settled down. Then the doc started me on mtx and its gone-completely. So, in my case it was an inflamitory problem.
I hope you find relief soon.

Hi Linda,

Ouch! I get that too sometimes. It is sudden and for me it doesn't last long but when it gets going it will happen repeatedly within that day or week. It has really increased since I can't take my NSAID's anymore *whaaaaaaaaa*. I agree with SJ . . . for me it is inflammatory.

Sorry you are having problems.

Blessings!
