Hi Loni,

The celebrex should actually help stop the numbness, if the numbness is caused by inflammation.

Our inflammation (swelling) can press on nerves or blood vessels. Coupled with sleep posture (ie. sleeping on your arm/shoulder) it can cause some pretty severe numbness/tingling.

Lots of us have numbness . . . but when you say your brain??? No matter how young you are: Make sure and do the quickie stroke test immediately:

Can you raise your arms and keep them up?
Can you smile?
Can you repeat a simple sentence?

Wouldn't want you ignoring a stroke . .. . which CAN be caused by APS (the thick sticky blood sometimes happening in some lupus patients).

Hopefully others will have some info for you too!

Blessings!

I really think this warrants a call to the doc at the very, very least. If it recurs or persists you should go to the ER immediately! Don't mess around with these kind of symptoms. God Bless you, Judy
