i notice that when i'm in the heat its like my body retains the heat for a long time after.  i was in a car the other day w/out air conditioning and after i got home i felt like i couldn't get cool.  i joked and told my dh i felt like steam was coming off of me, i really did feel that way though.  i know that i was not feeling good after for a few days.  is this anything you may hav experienced?

Yes, I have experienced that. When I get too hot, it takes me a long time to cool down. I've found out that my body can't take the sun or the heat. The other day I took my kids to our local swimming pool on a very cloudy day and sat in the shade under the umbrella, but the heat and humidity still made me feel very sick and it took a long time for my body to cool down. My kids will often comment on how hot my hands or body feels.

I have both extremes - when I get overheated, it takes quite a while for my core temperature to cool down again. I usually use ice water - to drink, for hands & feet, face and back of neck. Helps a lot, even if I can't get into AC quickly. And then when I get really cold, it takes a long while to get warm again - electric blanket, hot shower/bath, hot drink, heating pad....

Very definitely more severe since Lupus!
