I am new here.  No medical so thought I might try a forum for some answers.  My grandfather died of Lupus at 62 and my grandmother had it also but lived to 82.  My mother and aunt both have symtoms.  I can't talk to my mother as she is to involved in her own life.  about 3 years ago a blood panel was drawn and my white cell count was 30k to high.  There were other things wrong as well that led them to think cancer.  My medical expired before I made it back in for another CBC.  I am 40 and now deal with constant joint pain, my lower face breaks out almost all the time, my arms and legs fall asleep several times a day and I am just exhausted more and more all the time.  Recently I have been experiencing constant medium headaches.  I believe it is Lupus but hoped someone might be able to shed some light for me.  There are other issues I deal with but will leave them off for now as these are the big ones that have effected my life for several years.  Thank you for your time...Will check back often.

Hi Tick... Welcome to the forum, you have a history of lupus in your family. Have you seen a Rhumy if not you need to see one, they can give you a better understanding of what is going on. When you say your face breaks out is a red rash, scaly or raised. The sign of being exhusted, headaches joint pain could be a sign of lupus. You need 4 of 11 factors. There are alot of nice people on here that can give you more info. I'm sorry that your medical ran out. I hope you can get some kind of help. Take Care!!!

Welcome to the forum Tick,

There are some helpful links at the end of my signature. The criteria for diagnoses that Joinery was telling you about is in one of those links: "Lupus Criteria 4 of 11"

This can be a long process, trying to figure out what, exactly is going on.

I hope you'll keep us updated.

Blessings!
