I was beginning to think that no rheumy would see my kids because they have already been seen by another doctor that didn't find anything but we got the letter today. We ahve to wait forever and a day but both my 6 and my 3 year old have appointments scheduled in January. I feel like at least someone is attempting to help us. yeah

Well it's good to hear that your kids have the appointment, even if it is a ways away.  Are you on a cancellation list just in case you can be moved up if someone else cancels?

You must be very relieved to know that you're on your way..... Things will start to progress.  This is good news!

I'm glad they got in to see someone, but that is a very long wait. I need to get an appointment for my son with a new pediatric rheumy too. I'm guessing the wait is long for most pediatric rheumies.

This is a brand new department that our children's hospital hasn't had before. They just opened in the past couple of months and both of the doctors are from Philidelphia. I am not on a list yet but I am going to call tomorrow and see if they can put us on one. It is a little harder with two because it is unlikely to have back to back cancellations that we could get with enough time to drive 1.5 hours to get there, but I am at lest trying. My daughter started school today so I am anxious to see how that effects the pain since she has been taken off of all medicine, maybe if she is alsways in the nurses office they will see us sooner.
