Well, my rheumy is concerned that we get this under control right away. She said we have to use prednisone again and for the first time in a very long time 20mg. Usually we just do 5-10mg but I am flaring with everything- psoriasis, RA, cognative issues via lupus, and even the fibro. I keep making typos but I tend to correct myself to keep a post easy to read. She said if this doesn't work I face an MRI and spinal tap at minimum. Worse, I will end up on 60mg of prednisone or celcept or mtx. As she is on vacation next week she said the ER is where I need to go if this doesn't work. Well, I am on vacation next week too darn it all. I am sorry, I am so frustrated. I just got off prednisone and now I am back on it. Apparently I am to reduce my stress load too. She thinks this is the post baby flare we expected.

Sorry, keep having to pause and it is making me lose track of what I need to say.

Basically I am going to be out of touch for over a week and during that time I have to deal with higher doses of prednisone than we have done in a very long time. I will be online tomorrow and maybe a little on Saturday. After that I am unsure if I will be online.

Hi Redrose,

Sorry to hear you have to go back on pred.  I know it sucks.  But maybe if you hit it hard now, you can taper down and be off it again. I hope that happens for you.  Take it easy,

I wish I thought it would be fast but I am on 20mg until labor day then 15mg for a couple weeks then 10mg until I see my rheumy again. If I get worse then we are looking at an even harder road. I just really dislike having to be on pred at all especially since my bones were already thinning before I started my on again off again relationship with pred. I picked pred over a spinal tap or heavy duty drugs.

I know pred. stinks I just hope you don't have to do the whole 60. Look at it this way though. You got a baby out of the deal. Usually all I get is a rash and a headache!

Hang in there I'll be praying for ya
