I have been on ambien for a a year and half now, taking 20mgs at night, eventually im starting to not feel sleepy on them and losing hair as well, and not being able to think out simple things. I been a chronic isomniac for 8 prolong years now. i also pop a few lorezepam here n there with my ambien, but i dunno whats causing memory dis function and the inability to learn new things at a normal pace. any ideas are appreciated.

Hi,

Do you have lupus?  Memory and concentration can be hampered by the disease, but there are so many other possibilities too. Endless possibilities....

Lots of us suffer from memory loss and mine comes and goes depending on the meds I take. Lupus can also have an effect on our memories. Let us know more about you. What is your dx? What meds are you on? I was on Lunesta for about a year but don't remember having memory loss from it. Quite the opposite because my memory improved as I was finally able to sleep.

Hope to hear more from you. Welcome to the forum.
