Hi TW, wow that sounds pretty bad. All I can say is you need to keep plenty of fluids in ya. Are you running a fever? It sounds like maybe you should have stayed in the hospital a little longer with the breathing problems. Try to rest as much as possible. Let the housework go and sleep. If your chest and lungs don't start to improve I would suggest you head back to the hospital. Are you on heavy duty steroids I hope?

hugs

TW, I'm so sorry you had such a bad flare - it sounds like it was a scary one. I completely agree with Carol about the rest. That's the only thing I can recommend now - rest, rest and more rest. If you try to do too much, your flare may go on indefinitely. Hopefully as your get rested and slowly recover from your flare, your breathing and sex drive and other things will start to improve too, but it might take a while since your flare was so bad.

Hang in there and take good care of yourself. Lots of (((((hugs))))))

Hi TW,

There is a post in "Lupus Resources" (link at the end of my signature) about Flare Care (by Lynnwood). I hope you'll find some good tips there.

Rest is important. Are you sleeping well? We heal in our deep sleep . . . so if you are not getting at least one 4 hour block of sleep each night, make sure to let your rheumy know.

Blessings!
