Five days and counting of good days.  No diarrhea in five days, no weakness, less pain, not as tired.  Still can't walk that good, but the good days have arrived I think.  And I am grateful for each and every one of them.

I know it won't last.  they never do.  but while they are here, I am one happy woman.

Hester, I'm doing the happy dance for you yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah .  Good days are certainly something to celebrate.  Maybe the plaquenil is really kicking in now and you'll have more and more good days with fewer bad days.

I think the biggest challenge with good days is to make sure you don't do too much.  I tend to get so excited about good days that I overdo it and then I wear myself out.

I hope you continue to have a lot more good days wink

It is a challenge for me too.  So relieved to have a good day, I keep expecting to wake up the next morning and the sickness be back.  so one day at a time.  one moment at a time, sometimes.

celebrate.  hmmmmmm.  what would my family think if I really celebrated these good days;)

thank you for your response

Hester!!! Happy Dance for you sis!! Yeah!!

Increase your activity very gradually so you don't throw yourself back into flare mode. I've done too much, too fast, too often. LOL

I hope your improvement continues!! Thanks for giving us that great update!!

Blessings!

thank you Rosie.  If only I could dance again.  My hobby is painting murals on my walls, and listening to loud music, and dancing.  Have not lifted a paint brush in two years.  I think all my paint has dried up.

but going to get me a cheap Ipod, download my music to it, and use ear phones to play loud music without disturbing my house guests.  Maybe even dance again...........someday.  Dancing used to be my exercise, but have not been able to do it in a long time.

My house was condemned at one time, and I started painting the murals to cover up the ugly stuff.

My house mate thinks I am a really cool grandma because I like Metallica music turn

Hi Hester . . .

YES! Dancing!! One can dream!!

I was a backpacking gramma before my first really bad flare. I had been on a three day trip with all my gear on my back. Sleeping in the woods and hiking 11 miles at a time with 35 pounds on my back. It was SO cool! I was planning to hike the Appalachian Trail (2,000 miles). But . . . . . . .

It absolutely crushed me to lose so much of who I used to be. I REALLY feel for everyone here who has lost so much to this dd.

What I'd like to convey . . . is that I've been given new gifts!! Gifts that I call "recliner sports". Ha haaa!!! I'm really enjoying these new skills that I can turn to in the middle of the night when sleep is illusive and pain is my best friend. It tickles me to see so many of you have some great hobbies too!!

I hope you can get back to painting your murals soon! It feels so good to "fly" again.

Blessings!

Recliner Sports! That's a good one.

I wish I could stumble on something that doesn't bore me silly, but haven't got there yet. Or maybe wandering around the web reading interesting information qualifies? Would feel nice to actually produce something tangible, though!

Hey Lynnwood . . . the things I do seemed ridiculous at first. It seemed to take forever to make one sock. Then you get good at it and it becomes a real therapeutic thing. I even have requests for items. I really did NOT think I'd be still doing this . . . LOL . . . but I'm actually teaching it now. Go figure. My little baby sweater and hat were the hit of a recent shower. . . and the whole time I was sitting there, I was sick about how much people had spent and how all I had was a little sweater and hat. . . . but it turned out to be the mom's favorite gift !!! I'm addicted!! And YES, I really do refer to all of this as "recliner sports" . . laptop included!! Its true!

Blessings!

Thank all of you for your supportive words to me.

I would be one happy woman if I could paint again.  Time flies when I am painting.  I get so lost in it sometimes that I forget to eat.

I started out one time wanting to paint a moccasin and medicine bag for my Cheyenne friend, it turned into a cradle board, with horse carvings, or something like that.  I didn't try to paint this it just happened.  but the Cheynne are really good with horses, and he was always close to them.  I think my sixth sense must have intervened and helped me with that painting idea
