Thanks for checking in Carol - you are a sweetie. I was out of town over the weekend and I wasn't feeling well when I left, so the trip was really hard on me (luckily my hubby was doing all the driving). If I'm being honest, I'm just not doing great these days both physically and emotionally...you know how the two go together. I know I could increase my prednisone for a little while, but I don't want to battle more weight gain, but I might have to bight the bullet and increase my dose to get over this hump.

I'm in one of those emotional slumps too, grieving my old life and old body. I'm usually not this blah about things because I really have a lot to be thankful for in spite of my lupus. Wow, I'm just a whiner today. Anyway, it's good to be back on the forum - I don't talk to too many people about my lupus anymore.

Carol, let us know how the appointment goes. I need to take a shower too :)

Doc wrote me a script and sucked out my blood that's about it.
Hippi, I am so sorry you are feeling down. I know people say that all the time but I know how hard it is when you have to deal with being ill and depressed. Yes it sucks. It seems to be going around lately. I wonder if it is a change in the weather and stuff? Can you imagine what will happen when it gets dark at 5pm?
I know predisone can be a quick fix but for me the mood swings are so bad i would be afraid that it would make me more depressed in a long run. Do you take the doxipin for depression? You're probably once again doing too much. Why did you go away for the weekend if you were sick. I can guess but I'd rather hear it from you. Also you know it's better to come here and rant and cry and pull your hair out. (if you have any). than it is to set back and not talk to people who want to help you. I hope you will talk some more about what is going on so we can at least listen and let you know you are not alone. You know you will get a lot more support here than anywhere else. Not that your loved ones don't care but they really just don't get it when you need an extra hug or someone just to say how important you are to them and what a difference you make in their life. That's how I feel about you. You're very important to me and what ever I can do you know I will. So will everyone else here. So crawl out of th hole you are dug into and start sharing!
love you much
