I have been having numbness in my upper arms and thighs. feels fuzzy most of the time not totally numb. also I have been having trembling in my hands but only when I am trying to do something like knitting or using a fork, fine motor skills... also my lips too. when I try to take a drink of something my lips tremble.
but now - last night I was sitting in a chair and bent over to pick up something and my legs went crazy. I started shaking like you would bounce your legs with a baby on your lap except faster. I had to stand up to make my legs stop shaking. today my left arm is doing the same thing when ever I try to hold anything. this is really freaking me out! has anyone had anything like this and could this be CNS Lupus ??? just looking for input. shakehead

Hi Mawmaw,

Yikes, that sounds awful.  I do get the tremors, tingling, etc in my hands and feet.  It could be a number of things actually. Still not sure what mine is attributed to.  I haven't had it so bad in the way you described though.... Definitely a mystery.  If it's freaking you out, I'd call your rheumy about it.  Hope you don't have any more episodes!

Hi Mawmaw. I frequently get tremmors and numbness, but only did the leg dance a couple of times ever. I've had every neuro test and docs found nothing significant. Regardless, I think you should see your PCP or rheumy to get their opinion. I hope you feel better today! Love, Butterflake

Thank you Ginny and Butterflake. I have an appt with my internist today. I'm trying to get everything written down that I want to tell her. I'm just so tired of not knowing what is going on with me. I know you all knows how that feels. Thanks for being here and listening.

Hi Mawmaw,

All but the dancing legs . . . I had with very low iron.

I hope your doc gets things figured out today. That sounds pretty frightening. I sure hope he/she has answers for you today.

Keep us posted. (((((((((((( Mawmaw ))))))))))

Blessings!

hi!
I am really new here. don't even have any diagnosis yet....besides asthma hypothyroidism and anxiety/depression. about 6 or 7 years ago I was having a flareup of really serious tremors and numbness and strange sensations allover. Interestingly.....I had been playing racquetball (fluorescent lights) before both "episodes". One episode ended with me running my car up the curb and getting a flat tire due to the trembling in my legs. I checked myself into a hospital cause i was so scared. ended up doing the Thorazine shuffle...not a good time.....I know how scary it is when your body gets wacky. Just curious if fluorescents have any place in your story?
hugs, sincerely,
krista

interestingly enough, we had been shopping at Wal-mart a few days before and had felt bad since then. My husband won't let me go in anymore.
