I've gone into a new & different flare. Started five days ago with more than my usual flare joint pain. Includes them all - esp. elbows, hands, knees, & feet. The strange thing is that it's partnered with nausea that comes out of nowhere and sometimes lingers for hours. The joint pain makes it so hard to get out of bed in the morning because it hurts so badly to hobble around all morning. By mid afternoon, every day, the joint pain starts to lessen. Very strange. The only thing I've changed is that three weeks ago or so I stopped taking CellCept.

I've taken some pain meds but do my best to avoid them so I know that the nausea is not caused by meds. I haven't had any today and I feel very close to throwing up. Any ideas?

(((((((((Patty)))))))), I'm sorry you are hurting sweetie, Maybe you are having more than one thing going on? there is nausea and diarea going around up this way. It's that time of the year for the bugs to come out. Have you slept with any heating pads or anything? Maybe3 your joints are getting chilled? I'm sorry I really don't have any answers and I have never been on cellcept so getting off I would have no clue about. Sorry the morphine they shot me up with still has me a little fuzzy.
I hope somone can give you some help.
love ya

(((((((( Patty ))))))))

It sure sounds like you are rebounding from no CellCept. Does your doctor know about this? Did you ever have nausea as part of your Lupus? I know that some folks do.

Carol had a good thought about heating your bed at night. Electric blanket, or heated mattress pad . . . grain bags . . . anything that will keep those joints warm.

Be sure to call your rheumy and stay ahead of this.

Keep us posted.

Some hot tea for you sis!!
