Hey everyone, I know a while back I mentioned that I was having horrible migraine headaches 2-3 times a week.  It was awful especially with two small boys in the house.  Anyway my PCP put me on Propranolol, a blood pressure med that he said would help keep the blood vessels in my brain from constriciting.  Well, we started at 20 mg and I noticed some improvement, then went to 40mg at bedtime and I haven't had a migraine since, going on about three weeks now.  I know so many of us suffer with brutal headaches, I just had to pass it on. smilewinkgrin

Jennifer,
I don't have migraines routinely, but I just wanted to say I'm so glad to hear that yours are better! It seems like people can go through a bunch of meds to find the right one often, so i'm glad yours is working for you! Judy

Thanks Judy, I'm so Blessed to have found a doctor that actually addresses each symptom and looks for ways to help me feel better , unlike my Rheumy who only seemed interested in finding the exact dx.

That's great to hear Jennifer! BTW, my PCP is usually better at treating my non-lupus symptoms, although it sometimes seems everything is lupus related! Love, Butterflake

Woo hooo!!! Jennifer !!!!

Thanks for sharing. I had headaches for about 35 years and they just disappeared a few years back. Looking back, I'm not sure if it was the plaquenil or anti-inflams??? but I'm SO glad they are gone!

Happy for your Jennifer!

Blessings!

Thanks Rosie and Butterflake, I'm hoping maybe this could help someone still suffering with migranes. Thanks again.
