I've never had the infusion at home, I had them at an outpatient clinic. I had 1000 mgs. of Solumedrol for 5 consecutive days and was then started on 120mg od prednisone daily. a couple of reccomendations: chew gum during the infusions, it taste bad!, stay on top of your blood sugars and blood pressure and prepare to be very hungry! Also, and this is paramount, if you are not already taking something to prptect your tummy, askfor something BEFORE you start! Hope this helps. Do you have any specific questions? God bless you, Judy

Sorry I haven't updated sooner...No IV yet!!!! My Neuro and Rheumy are at odds.......and here I am in the middle, not knowing who to listen to or what to do if anything! I hate to admit that I may be second guessing my choice for Rheumy, again!
