Just wanted to let you all know I did make varsity basketball on my school team ! my family and I are very excited and I cant wait for the season to start. Ive been pretty good practicing everyday.. some arthritis pain and arm weakness.. but not bad at all. My coach knows all about my condition so If I have to I sit out.
Medications: Prednisone 5mg. Plaquenil 300mg. Methotrexate 12.5mg. Naproxen (for pain). Multivitamin. Calcium. Fish Oil. Vitamin D. Flaxseed oil. Folic Acid.
15 years old. Lupus, and Raynauds.

This is awesome!  Congratulations!  You're going to have a great season, I just know it.  It's good that your coach knows about your condition.
I remember playing b-ball when I was in highschool.  It was amazing.  I was a left guard.  I'm right handed, but when I'm dribbling or shooting, I become a left hander!  Weird eh.

You go girl! I played in jr. high! They forced me because they needed one more person on the team. I made points for the opposite team and they fired me! :0) Hope you have an awesome season! Judy

Dx: Lupus, sjogren's, celiac, severe allergies.
Daily Meds: Plaquenil, Zyrtec. Prilosec, Nasacort, Prozac, Ambien CR.
Daily Supplements: Multi-vitamin, Calcium, B-100 Complex.
As Needed Meds: Epinephrine, Benadryl, Proventil, Xopenex, Tylenal, Darvocet, Prednisone.
