You should get into a Dr. for that. Vertigo can last for a long time. They may want to do a cat scan to see if there is a reason for the vertigo, otherwise dr.s most often prescribe nausea meds if needed. I'm not even sure if the tapering of the prednisone would have anything to do with Vertigo-have you had a cold or sinus problem recently? That can sometimes trigger it.

Hey JessieRose,

I have vertigo.  Have taken Meclazine for this for a long time.  and somehow, for some reason, the vertigo initiates the diarrhea, or the diarrhea causes the vertigo.  I can almost kneel, waiting to get to the bathroom.  and I can't hold myself up straignt.  Have to hold myself up by holding to the wall.  and when there is a space with no wall to hold, it is hard for going.

Everytime I go to the GP, he finds fluid in my ears.

I agree that it is a good idea to see your doctor this.

Hope your day will be a better one.

I take promethazine (phennagrin) for the bathroom issues.  It is horrible.  I wish there was something that I could tell you that would help.  At least I can sometimes tell when it is going to start, and I can start taking the promethazine before the diarrhea happens.  Of course when I am asleep when it happens, I cannot respond so well.

The Meclazine helps but does not completely.  I still have to pay attention when I am walking, especially walking up and down steps.  I still use the grocery cart like a walker when I go into stores.

sometimes nothing helps.  It is embarrassing and humiliating and I wish I could give to you what you need to help you.

I have this same thought sometimes, when will I get a break.  I don't know.

I hope that soon something will change for you and give you a few days, or weeks of rest.
