I am so confused and my head is spinning. I just feel like throwing my hands up. I need help. I got all this wills and power of attorny and DNR's and all that stuff. Plus my house I have rented I started on the paper work but I just get fogged up so bad I can't continue. Now my papers came in the mail today. My brother signed for them. I wasn't expecting the lung transplant papers to be so official. There are 6 or 7 pages with phases
"recommended for person serious lung dyfunction with 12 to 24 month life expectancy,""in some cases hearts will be transplanted at the same time","your new lungs may be rejected', "would I be willing to except a hep C or hep B donor?

I'm sure you all get tired of fighting this stuff too. Maybe after christmas. You know these are times when I really miss my husband. We could set down and go through this stuff together. Just trying to get my head on straight.
well I'm gonna go please send some prayers and powerful energy my way.
thank you
love
carol

Carol,

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this, I can't even imagine what it is like, but I just wanted to respond to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you strength to get through all the legal jargen and make heads or tails of it ! It can make a person with a clear mind and no lupus fog crazy, so just keep that in mind.

I am channeling all the energy and prayers your way, you will be just fine sister, the power of prayer can do great things!

thanks Melissa, I sure appreciate it. I'll take all the prayers I can get. I wish for one week I could be "normal" . None of this to worry about. 7 days that would be great! Do you ever feel like you are all alone even if you have 100 people around ya? I mean people you know even. People ya love , friends, family, and still feel like you are just the shadow on the wall and no one realizes that your even there.

well anyway I just wanted to say thank you for responding

hugs

carol

Hi Carol:

First off soft gentle (((hugs))) to you. I know all this stuff is confusing and hard to deal with. It's overwhelming I'm sure. It's hard to hear our disease broken down into life expectancy and such. I'm sure the thought of rejection is very worrisome for you. I'll be sending loads of positive energy and prayers to you.

I understand that lonely feeling, even when we are with people we love we still feel alone. I'm with you I'd sell my soul to have a week w/o pain, and dealing with these horrid diseases we have. You know I'm always here to lend a helping hand. If I can in anyway help you out, just give me a call. I have been through the writing of will, living will, power of attorneys, and such things. Maybe I could be of some help.

I know when we talked you were very busy going shopping to make sure you and your family had food for Christmas dinner. I hope you're not over doing it to much. I know how hard it is when you've got so much you need to do. I say put the paperwork up and deal with it after Christmas. Try to enjoy your Christmas with your family, the paperwork will still be there.

Wishing you the best as always. Loads of hugs to you and most importantly prayers.

Love,
Barb

Carol,

I know exactly what you mean about feeling alone, even when the room is filled with people. I get that feeling all too often. It's all too sad. That's why I'm on here so much here lately, at least here I know I have people who can relate to me and it brings me some comfort.

I just wish we could reach out and give each other a real hug!

Carol.

I have you in my prayers and hope you have been able to take things slow as this busy time of year is upon us. My mother has COPD (and, probably, lupus) and she is on most of the same medications as you are on right now. I always find insights in your responses to others about how my mother must feel with her breathing problems.

I am sure you must overwhelmed with the legal documents regarding the lung transplant. I think the others have good advice about waiting until after Christmas so that you can focus on family first and then on the transplant paperwork. I will keep you in my prayers so that this will all be understandable and easy to process. Paperwork is so "black and white" and does not care about feelings - legal papers, especially.

Please take it easy and try not to overdo it these next few days! Merry Christmas!
Prayers,
Audrey Ann

Hi Carol,

It is overwhelming. I also agree that waiting until Christmas is over might be a good idea.  Then you won't have your head in so many places. I'm praying for you too Carol. I wish I could give you a real hug......

Lots of love
Ginny
