Today is Saturday and yesterday I woke up with a huge bump on the back of my neck it is larger than a grape. Today it turned hard and really hurts. I told my husband that if it is not better tomorrow he can take me to the Naval Hospital. I got to tell you all I am scared...I know my skin is in a flar. I had the bumps on the tung and now this. When I turn my head it hurts and it feels like it is burning..Oh well I will keep up dated. My dad said it is horns growing I then told him it is my brains coming out.  My mom just cried.

HI, I hope things are going alright for you.  Its good that you can joke about things (brains coming out, horns growing).  Keep your chin up and your attitude.  Let us know whats going on.

My husband looked at it today and it is very close to my spine but it is right under my skull. I am going to try every thing I can to get in on Monday to see anybody.....

We have lymph nodes all over our bodies, including in the position you describe. I know because I had sore bumps in the back of my skull before. It is probably doing its normal job of protecting you from something...just like when one under your jaw or under your arm gets sore sometimes.

If it doesn't go away, it's always good to check in with the doctor -- us armchair advisers are just amateurs, after all! But I doubt it is anything to get too anxious about -- stress will only make everything worse!

Hang in there,

I went to the DRS today and it is the Lupus. When I was first DX with Lupus I had lumps like this on my knees. The Dr gave me 2 antibotics(SP) and antienflamitory(sp). He siad that if it it is not better to come back in and he would see m with out appointment. As he said as we all know we never knw what is going to happen and when. I am just so relived. You just do not knw how scared I was. This is right over my spine where the skull is right there at the T. I have to becarful with my Champaine this week at New Years. I can have 2 glasses. Oh well.
Thank you all for reading this post I do thank you all.

Hi-so its the Lupus.  Did your Dr. say how Lupus caused it?  I guess I'm not understanding.  Is it in your lymph node?  I saw some other people referring to our Lymph nodes doing this.  I guess I'm curious so I would know what to look out for.  Is there an actual name for it?  Sorry about all the questions.  I really just try to educate myself about this wonderful disease.  Thanks.

he really did not say to much about it. He felt around it and that was really all he did. It is hard to see a Rh in my aria  ther really are not to many of them. I have had these before when I had my first flair all over my legs. This was bigger than a cherry tomato but smaller than a golf ball. After being on the meds they are really helping me out alot. I had told him about my other simptoms I was having from my Lupus. I am at the end of a flair. That is really all I can tell you.
