Hi Everyone,

Well, I went for pulmonary testing today, sigh! It did not go well at all, I apparently failed every one. The tech was amazed, she said "you obviously have some sort of  blockage in your airways or lungs" Umm, ya think? that's why I'm here, I wanted to say! Anyway, I told her I don't have much detail but have been told I have scarring on my right lung and have a constant feeling like I need to take a deep breath, like I'm not getting enough air in.

Man, by the time I finished that testing I was beat, light headed, and totally spent! I had no idea what the tests would be that physcially draining. Anyway, just wanted to give you all a quick update. Now I will sit and wait for the official results from this test and the heart echo I had yesterday and see where my docs want to go from here.

Thanks for listening!

Melissa, I'm sorry to hear that your test did not go well today and that it took so much out of you. I hope you get the results from your echo soon and that the docs can figure out a way to help you feel better. Hang in there and keep us updated.

Hi Melissa,

Sounds like you're having quite a time with your breathing? Will you get your echo results back today?  I guess in a way it's probably a good thing you failed all those breathing tests.  The doctors can't tell you there's nothing wrong.  You have proof that there is a lot wrong!  It's a direction for you to take now.  As bad as you're feeling, it's positive that a treatment will be coming your way soon.

Keep us updated on those test results. I hope you have a restful day today!

I didn't get a call with the results of the heart echo or the official results of the Pulmonary Function Testing, I was hoping I would. Hopefully I will get one on Friday. As much as I didn't want to fail the test because that means there are truly issues, I agree with you Ginny it is kind of a good thing, at least the doctors know I am not making this all up and hopefully will know how to treat it from here. Also, I have filed for SSD, so failing this test is not a bad thing for that aspect either, it shows I truly have issues and helps my case there.

Trust me though, I would give anything in the world to be healthy again! I'm sure any of us would. I mean to feel this poorly at 41, it is so depressing.

Oh, I hear you loud and clear.  I'd give anything to have my health and be able to work my patooty off!  hehe.  Well, if you don't get any answers on Friday, next week you probably will for sure.  It's hard to wait isn't it.

Thanks for keeping us updated!
