Friends,

As you know with lupus, life's little bumps and bothers sometimes grow alarmingly out of control. And multiply. Especially when there's a bit of med change in the mix.

You know I haven't been posting much, but I have been reading everything. The last couple of days I can't find any spoons, or even half- or quarter-spoons....I just can't keep up right now.

I need to step out of the running for a bit - I've accumulated *TOO MANY* responsibilities and I need to scale way back. So I mostly won't be reading for a while. [But if you need me, email! Especially if you need Cellcept experiance.]

I'm very happy to announce that Ginny, a former mod on our forum and who has been acting as a de-facto moderator the last couple of months, is now officially joining the Moderator Club. She seems to be doing well these days, and AlwaysRosie, hippimom2, and I are not as attentive here as we once were. I'm sure I speak for the members as well as the moderators when I say:

scool WELCOME GINNY! yeah

Cheers,

Lynwood, I really truely hate this disease. Every time you start to get close to people this d*** disease knocks us off our feet. I hate that my online friends are suffering. I'm angry that you and others are suffering. Somtimes I think why is this happening? What did I do to deserve this. What did any of us do? We all deserve better than this. cry . I'm so glad this is the last day of 08. I don't know if next year will be any better. We have lost a few friends this past year. I'm tired of loosing people. I pray this coming year will find a break though. I pray people will start becoming aware of what we are going though and try to find ways to stop the suffering.

I'm sorry I guess I'm just a little emotional today. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you do what ever you have to do to get back on your feet.

love carol

Lynnwood, I really hope that very soon everything will come together for you.  I know it's really difficult to manage this disease, meds and keep up with everything here.  I"m really glad I can be of help and it feels good to be back moderating with you all.

Take care of you.  I know you will!  You've always been so good at looking after yourself and what you need.

Lynnwood,

I'm sorry to hear that you are out of spoons, if I find some hiding somewhere I will send them your way! You have been great support for me these last few months, I just want to say "thank you for all you've done." Ginny is a great gal, she is a source of support and knowledge and will do a fine job of filling in for you.

May 2009 bring you much happiness, better health and as many pain free days as possible!

I thought about asking to be moderator too.  It was one of the things listed that we could use to help the forum.  but I do not think that I can handle it myself.  I do not post often enough.  I tried to post to many people, but just could not Keep it up.  Some days I would do ok, but most days I could not even read sometimes the posts sent.

I admire you Ginny and the others who can take on the action of moderator.

Have no idea what this rheumatologist will say when I go back to see him this month.  He seems to find way to prove it is not lupus, not that it is lupus.  I am on disability, I have medicaid, I am not going back into the work force, so why is he doing this.  I am going to ask him.  He seems to ignore the things that I do tell him.  so what good is he?  My regular doctor can prescribe plaquinil.  why is the rheumy needed?  That would be one less doctor to have to go visit. more tests that doesn't have to be done.  I see no reason to continue this.

Hi Hester,

I understand your frustration with your rheumy.  It is important to at least keep them on your list of doctors just in case you have some major problems.  I've resorted to seeing my gp more often too.  I only see my rheumy if I absolutely have to.

Thank you all for being so sweet and supportive. All my nice sturdy silver spoons dried up and turned into fragile old thin plastic ones, then even those cracked and crumbled. I will certainly be back as I shove all the tasks off my plate and get some bright new silver spoons!

I love your description of your spoons Lynnwood. Part of my spoon collection looks the same! I need a spatula to shove all my tasks off my plate.  Wanna borrow mine?  wink

I also am considering trying my day without the rpovigil to see if it is really making a difference or if I am better off without it.
