Hi all, well now that it's been 48 hours I feel a little bit better. I hate to complain but it is a very hard ordeal to go through. And that's just the work up. I think there were like 4 ct scans ulltra sound kidney liver tummy, and the coridid arteries in my neck. They made me drink so much of the chalk stuff I thought I'd hurl. They took 27 viles of blood plus 3 blood gas tubes. They stuck an iv in my arm and put me in a machine that was in nuclear medicine. I laid down and it was so close to my face that I felt like I was in a coffin. That was just one days worth of stuff. oh they gave me a pill to swollow for my esophogus while they watched it through an xray. it was caught in my throat for awhile. which with the CREST has always been an issue. I just left a message for my dr. in town that I need to set up a pap smear, colonoscopy, mamogram, and a heart catheter. Than I have to see a dentist. I got a letter last night saying someone in my family has to be there for my appt on the 10th. I called the hospital yesterday with questions about the spots on my lungs and about lupus. I have been told by my other drs I would have to have a biopsy done and if it is an autoimmune disease I won't be eligible for the transplant. So of course the nurse that told me if I had any questions I should call her couldn't give me any answers. I hate that I'm having all these tests done and putting my body through stuff that I can barely get through and than be told I don't qualify. She said I would have to discuss it with the surgeon. But surgeon appt is the last person i see after all the tests.
