Hi everyone, if I have asked this question before please chalk it up to the "Fog"....

Does anyone else just suddenly get the chills and a fever? It happens to me at least once a month. I can't seem to figure out anything different I am doing when it happens and it doesn't seem to be on days I over exhert or anything like that. But usually it will last for 12 to 24 hours and then it goes away. Also, how can we search past threads? I was going to try that before I asked this, but could figure out how to search.

Happy weekend, everyone!

I would call your doctor. It may be an indication of other problems.

Happens to me - I really believe it is hormone related. Even though I have reached an age where my periods are unpredictable (sorry guys), I still seem to have monthly hormone problems! Maybe the same thing for you? Feel better!
Take care,
Fran

Hi Renee,

Could it be hormonal?  Does this happen at the same time every month? Did you take your temperature to see how hight the fever is?  Just throwing out some possibilities.  I would also talk to your doctor about this.

I haven't really noticed if it is at the same time every month. I write it on the calendar and check next time it happens. I do take my temp and it has been as high as 103. I have asked my rheumy and he said it was just the lupus. He said that I am probably over doing it and its my body telling me to slow down. But it never seems to happen at a really busy or more busy then usual time. I iwill bring up the hormonal thing next time I see  him. Thanks for the help!  wink
