Hey all,  I'm having the worst flare yet so I started a pred pack 3 days ago.  Well yesterday I started running a low fever 99.8, I'm always taking tylenol because it's in my lortabs that I take 4-5 times a day.  Does anyone know if I'm supposed to stop taking the pred if I have a fever?   Can't get a hold of my doc right now.  Thanks.

Hey Jen,

Sorry to hear you're in a flare.  I wouldn't stop the pred.  If you do, you might notice your fever get worse. If anything, the pred will help that to go away. Definitely touch base with your doctor on Monday.

Try to have a quiet weekend wink

Blessings,
Ginny

Just to let you know, my doc told me to stop the pred for a few days to see if the fever is caused by the pred. Didn't know pred could cause fevers. If it goes up or stays low grade we'll know it's not the pred and I can start back up again. Ever get tired of the guessing games? It so often seems that our lives or quality of life depends on sheer trial and error. Thanks for the reply Ginny.

Hey Jennifer,

I didn't know pred could do that either.  Learning more and more all the time!!

How are you feeling today?  UGH, the constant guessing games drive me nuts.  I hear ya. The trial and error part of this disease is what gets me most frustrated.

Let us know how you're doing okay!
