Hi everyone.  I'm sorry I haven't been on the forum much lately.  I'm really struggling with my Fibromyalgia right now.  The pain and fatigue I have is overwhelming and I'm just finding that sitting at the computer is extremely taxing on me. I do read every post, and I pray for you all every day!  Hopefully I can get this flare up calmed down soon.  But it seems to only get worse by the day.  Could you pray for me?

I love each and every one of you and I hope you're all finding a peaceful place to rest your minds and your bodies.

Hi Ginny - I have some idea of what you're going through - I have fibro, too.  I think I left the house twice last week, and came limping back in short order.  I'm still confused about what's causing what.  I'm just about to turn 4 mos. on the Plaquenil.  I think it's helped with the fatigue, overall - but the pain issues seem to have worsened - and I can't tell if it's the fibro or what.  I keep going thru week long flares, during which I can't seem to do anything that rivals normal life, then slowly come back up with some restored energy and less pain for a couple days, and then get whammed back again with the slightest trigger.  I know the back and forth weather isn't helping, but geesh.  I had a low grade fever with the onset of last week's flare - which I don't think is fibro.  Do you get those?

Don't worry about responding - just rest - it seems to be the only thing that eventually gets me out of the hole - complete surrender.  I need to figure out a better way to balance activity and rest on the good days.  Years ago with just fibro I seemed to be able to do that.  Mabye  I'm just getting old smhair   (it sure feels that way).

REST your body, relax your mind,  moist heat, plenty of fluids, careful diet.  Have you tried neuromuscular massage?  I hope your flare lifts soon - sending good thoughts and prayers for comfort.

Lucy

Hey thanks everybody. What's really getting me down is the constant pain.  It never goes away. I"m so frustrated and tired of this.

Lucy, those low grade fevers will be your Lupus.  In Fibro, we tend to have a lower than normal temperature. Fevers aren't associated with Fibro.  The other way for me to know which one is flaring is I get my sed rate checked.  If it's normal, then my Fibro is flaring. Fibro isn't inflammatory.  The other way is to adjust your prednisone.  If you go up on the dose and you feel better, it's your Lupus.  If you go up and you feel worse, it's your Fibro.  Fibro and prednisone don't work well together.  It's really hard to tell sometimes which one is flaring.

Yeah, I'm just feeling exhausted from trying to cope with the pain.  I'm on Flexeril and it does squat for me except make me groggy.  I'm waving the white flag........

Thank you for the prayers.  Love you guys!

Hi Ginny. I'm sorry ur having such terrible pain. 8 hour tylenol taken with hot tea might help some. Like you, I have a constantly low temp and never run a fever cause of my fibro so I also love hot baths with salts when I have the energy. I hope ur pain eases soon. ((hugs)) Love, Butterflake
