Sorry I havent been on for awhile. Radiation is tiresome. But I just completed round 1 of radiation! Besides that, I been busy with the lil one, helping a friend with funeral arrangements as her father passed from cancer, dealing with 2 brothers in diabetic comas (both are now awake, a real blessing). Between trying to hold myself up along with family and friends, I've been just exhausted, but I wanted to let you all know that I have not forgot you all. I go in on the 13th of next month to find out if my tumor shrunk (lets pray it did, I'm tired of chemo and radiation). We still havent figured out what auto immune disease I have, but due to everyones insightfullness in this group, I got up the courage to show my radiologist my purply stretch marks. And you were correct! I won a diagnoses of purple strea (sp?). I also underwent a nerve condiction (sp?) test this week, and I also have carpal tunnel. Also an accidental discovery of fibromylogia has been discovered as well. It really was an accidental discovery, I was in my accupuncture appointment and he suggested because of how I react to my medical massages and adjustments and his treatment that I might ask my doctor about the fibromylogia. Got my interest, as I know my father has it. Unfortunally we found more than 18 points of tenderness and I got diagnosed.

And I cant remember how to update my signature (sp?) that showes all my problems if someone can tell me much appreciated. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hey Smurfy! Its great hearing from you :)! I also have the purple strea and the doc actually said it was some of the worst he has seen! My Rhuemy said to get Vitamin D capsules and break them open, rub on the stretch marks. That it should help minumize them. I don't know bout yours but mine are everywhere and don't even know if the stores would cary enough Vitamin D for one rub down. So I don't really know if that helps. I am just thankful that stretch marks don't form on faces!!! haha He even mentioned something about once everything gets undercontrol going to a plastics person. I laughed at that idea...I don't have that kind of money and there is no guaruntee that it will work that great.

For the Carpal tunnel, have you gotten a brace to sleep in? I started sleeping in mine and it helped greatly and then when I started wearing it during the day I had minumal pain. I really hope your tumor has shrunk, and im sry bout the fibro. let us know what you find out on the 13th!!!

To change your signature go to the left upper side of the page and there is 2 options. First one is Log off and then the 2nd is control Panel. Click on Control panel and then edit profile!!! hope this helps.

You might be able to get a rx for Vitamin D. I know I have calciaum + vit D pills. I go in thursday to the doc. Dont know about you all, but I'm on a check up every two weeks. When I try to book an appt, they just tell me to hold on, then a nurse gets on the line and asks me what is up. I missed my last two week appt and had to reschedule to this week. I have the purple strea shoulders, sides, armpits, under chest, some on stomach. I took pictures of it cuz I was uncomfortable with showing a male doctor. Needless to say I wound up still having to show him and he got a smacking to. We forgave each other though. He decided he wanted to "personally see" without consultinng me first and just lifted up my shirt to look! So I smacked him. He then realized he never asked me to lift up my shirt and just did without seeking permission and apologized. Since he was sincere, I apologized for smacking him. I'm happy he didnt through me out of the clinic. He has a new understanding now with me at least, and he even lets me self diagnose myself on things I get a lot like sinus infections, bronchitis, lol.

As you all knew I had bronchitis a few months ago from the lil one. It took a triple round of antibiotics to knock it and double round of cough syprup. As well as a nebulizer every 4 hours.

*clicks edit* oh yes, I do have a brace. Luckily I never had to purchase one though. I was in a car accident last year, and sprained the wrist bad. So they put my hand in a brace then, so I just took that out again. I use it when I sleep and when I type, its the most repitive things I do besides sneezing and having running eyes (allergies lol). Brace goes about 2 or 3 inches above my wrist and goes to my knuckles on fingers.
