OK . . . this topic tells us how you picked your name. I saw it on another forum and thought it was fun.

My name is AlwaysRosie . . . because my cheeks are always rosey !!

I hope you'll all tell us about your name.

Blessings!

My dog's name is Puccini and I named her after the opera composer. I played a children's role in Turandot with the Miami Opera company when I was 12, it was so much fun and so beautiful, just like my Pooch.

It's part of an alias I developed in High School...it's how I signed the poetry I wrote then. So it's always been kind of a writing alter-ego that seemed to fit HW. I use it anywhere I kinda' wanta' be known, but kinda' wanna' be anonymous, too!

My husband bought me a red rose the first year we were together on my birthday and when he handed it to me he noticed my checks were as red as the rose. He started calling me redrose and it stuck. I added the 77 for my birth year and lucky number (7).

This is pretty interesting. Jennifer and opera. Lynnwood and writing. Redrose and love. And Rosie and Red with rosie cheeks.

Then there are those really creative ones like Ginny and me. I was just too lazy to come up with something original. My name is a play on my real name. By the way, when I was in jr high school my nickname was Flatty Patty.

Mine's bigsanfer because that is basically what my parents used to call me before I hit my teens. lol. When I was 2 I got on my big girl bike so I said me bigsanfer now! So its kinda my way of not letting anyone know who I am. My real name is Samantha.. so that is where the sanfer comes from.

"alienwife" was chosen because my husband is from Belgium. Although he has been in the US for 8 1/2 years, he is not a US citizen and therefore, according to the Dept. of Homeland Security, an "alien". "alienwife" seemed fitting because I am the wife of an "alien"

I chose Firebabe because I'm a female fire fighter and a total babe! hehe Many men agree that if they have to be saved from a fire or accident or have CPR performed they would choose me over any of the guys. It would be a dream come true to have a female save them.

This is fun!

Jojo that's awesome- my birthday is 7-11 too!
I was really crabby and frustrated while I was doing research on Lupus and autoimmune diseases. I have used HW for feedback on meds I was prescribed through the years so I kind of used this place as a "real" review of things. Real people are the best reference. So I was here and crabby because I was sick, sad and tired. Ta-da! I still am, but the folks here make it easier to get through the day! Thanks guys!
Thanks!
Trish

I was reading something about the lupus butterfly rash and how the butterfly is a lupus symbol.  I thought, "I'm no butterfly, I'm more of a butterflake." Round like the Pilsbury dough boy and I can be a real flake tongue

redneckwmn84....well my older brother mostly, tells me all the time that i'm just a big redneck. Because I like country music, 4-wheelin', muddin, camping, fishing, etc. I hang out with all the guys. And me and my friend was picking out an email for me and said I should put redneckwmn from the gretchen wilson song "redneck woman"....so there you have it....oh and I was born in 84. haha

There are some very interesting stories behind a lot of these names. =)
