So I had another prenatal appt. yesterday.  Everything went well.
I am 8 weeks along and they are sending me next week for an ultrasound.  I'm really excited.
They may send me to a different dr. to do some special tests since I have lupus and said as long as they come back fine then more than likely I shouldn't have to back up there.  Its just to make sure everything is fine and they will just keep a good eye on me.

Have any of you mothers had an ultrasound that early?  How close of a watch were you all on during pregancy?  I have so many questions LOL.  I wasn't sure how the dr. appointments would go or how often I will need to go since I have lupus.  Which right now I'm not having any problems at all w/my lupus.  Mine is pretty mild.  Normally I just get the butterfly rash, sometimes a rash on my chest and from time to time get really really tired and just have to lay down for a few hours.  But my nose is just a tad bit red right now and haven't had a tired spell in quite a while.

Can't wait to hear everyone's responses =]

Hi Ashley, I don't have any info for you. I've never been pregnant. But I hope you have a wonderful time at your ultrasound appointment! Are you going to get a CD of the images? Good luck!!

Well my ultrasound was supposed to be today but it was rescheduled and I went Tuesday!!!!  =)  Everything went great, all was fine and looked good.  The baby's heartbeat was 168 and my due date is January 29th.  =]
It was the most amazing experience, getting to hear the baby's heartbeat!!!!!  And seeing the heart just beating so fast on there!  It was great!!!  I am only 9 weeks along so can't tell what the sex is yet!
Well I hope you all are doing well, I just wanted to give ya an update!

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I have had 9 ultrasounds, my first was at 6 weeks.

I was on daily lovenox injections until 21 weeks and then I had to stop because I had a placental abruption. That has been the only special treatment I've been on since pregnant. I did do the one-hour glucose screening early and then repeated it at the normal time since we are at a higher risk to develop GD.

I have not had any trouble with my lupus at all. My perinatologist (are you seeing one? or just a regular OB?) and rheumatologist are in the same complex and I am monitored very closely. If you are not seeing a perinatologist, I highly recommend it! If you have other questions, I will answer as best I can. I'm no expert by any means, but I do remember my first few weeks and the anxiety, stress, fear, etc. that comes with being pregnant and having lupus.

Hi!  Congrats on the baby!  Just wanted to say  was recently diagnosed, and have no idea how long I have had it.  I can tell you though that I have  had several children- the last one I was a surrogate for and delivered a healthy baby - just a tiny bit small, but then again- I am small and none of my children were over 5 lbs 15 oz!  Good luck to you ladies and look forward to updates.  Is wonderful to  hear good stories!
