sad Tonight I pooped and it was a dark orange color. I wanted to ask someone before I tell my mom or start freaking out. I haven't been feeling strange. I pooped twice today which isn't normal for me. The only other changes in my body is this odd lump right under my jawbone. It hurt when I touched it 2 days ago, but it doesn't anymore. Also, I've been doing yoga and pilates this week (and I've been taking codliver oil pills to help my aching joints and skin). Is this maybe my body trying to get rid of all the toxins in my body or do i need to worry? I've never pooped orange before. It scared the crap out of me......um....no pun intended. smilewinkgrin

Help me out folks. I hope I'm just overreacting.......

Hi Twilight, welcome to the forum!  Nothin' like making your first post in a new forum all about poop!  LOL. That's okay.  Poop is part of our lives. I posted a topic a few days ago about my explosive diarrhea.....

So it's orange eh? It's not red is it?  Does it look like blood in any way?  You need to be cautious that it's not blood.

It could be the cod liver oil.  I'd say if it's orange tomorrow call your doctor.  Maybe it was a fluke today and you ate something to change the color.

Keep us posted okay!

:-) Thanks Ginny. I've never been embarrassed to discuss my bowels lol. I didn't eat anything orange or that had artificial orange coloring. I listed all of the foods I ate and none of them seemed to explain the orange color. There weren't any red streaks; I checked before I flushed. I was also wondering if weird colored poo was associated with the menstrual cycle. idea I'm pretty sure this won't happen again though..........
