Hello all,

I am new to this site and have a few questions. I have been having problems since I had my son in 2001. It started out just getting cold even in the summer days. My hands/feet would go numb and tingle. Then I started having really bad cramps after that. Then came the passing out my sugar will be around the 40's) and having troubles breathing in , I would have pains around my heart and into my shoulder. Now I have been having pain through my whole body. It comes and goes. It seems to start at my feet and move its way up my body lasting for weeks. I have depression, anxiety and severe panic attacks, fatigue . My sugar gets low allot, normally it's around 76, is a day for me. I have hair loss in the front. Loss of appetite. Sometimes when I try to eat I will have major gag reflexes that kick in and it's hard to swallow.I also suffer from dry mouth allot no matter how much liquid I drink that day.I go to the restroom allot and can't hold it in like I use to. I also get bad headaches but that tends to be at the end or so of the body aches and pains. With the headaches comes feeling nausea, sometimes I do throw up. The past 5 or so yrs if I go out in the sun I will get a rash across my cheeks and nose and on my arms and chest sometimes my ears, maybe that could be a separate concern I don't know, everyone around me is watching me deteriorate. Well I was out in the garden about four days ago and now for the last four days I have been having the body aches my kidneys hurts I have a temp and my sugar is low. I am off to the E.R because I just can't the pain anymore. So I guess my question would be, does my symptoms sound like I could have Lupus? My mother told me that my fathers sister was DxD with Lupus at the age of the 33 and she passed away at the age of 41 due to kidney failure. Anything would be helpful right now. instead of being told I am getting lazy and old.....Thanks to all in advance!!!!!

When you see your Doc. ask for blood work to see if you have Lupus .
You need, These labs to confirm if its Lupus, Anti /Sm, Anti dna ,
Ro(SSA( and La(SSB) Protein count Your (ESR( and C rective , VDRL.
and your CBC See the reason I know this I have Lupus.
It's not easy, But before you Diagnose yourself let a medical professional ,treat you and see whats really going on with you . I wish all the best.

I ended up going to the hospital yesterday. I couldn't handle the pain anymore. They did x-rays, blood work urine tests. My sugar was also low so was my blood pressure. I do have a spot on my lungs it turns out it's not a blood clot. I have to go see a lung specialist on Monday. I don't know what it is but hopefully I will get some answers soon. TY!!

Tequila,

You need to make an appointment to see your primary care doctor ofra rheumatologist to be evaluated. Before your appointment make a detailed list of your medical history and any and all symptoms, past or present, whether or not you think they are related.

But before you do anything else, stay out of the sun. Please. If you have lupus, being in the sun is the worst thing you can do for your health, and it appears that you've already made that connection. Take care of yourself and get as much rest as possible. Make sure you feed your body good healthy food.

It must be scary to have a spot on your lung and I'm glad you have an appointment to see a specialist. Let us know what you find out.

And stick around. We can all use support and it's clear that you are in a lot of pain. We're here to help.

Take care,

Pat
