it's been so long since I have had pluersy that I forget what all we can do to help with it. any advice from someone with more recent experience with this pain in the chest? feels kind of silly to be asking for advice on something so minor but anything to make day to day easier than is was the last time I had this. so far so good though, my doctor's office upped my celebrex temporarily and gave me an inhaler since my asthma was acting up a little, no doubt it is the cold weather and slight cold I have had. otherwise I am doing well and have no real news for now.

Hi Redrose,

The only thing that has ever helped me was high dose prednisone. So sorry you're dealing with this horribly painful symptom. How much pred are you on right now?

Hey Redrose! Ginny is right, the only thing that has helped me is High doses of pred. I will usually get an IV of it and then take high oral doses. The other thing that might help is laying down. I would lay day in differerent positions till I found a berable position.

If you haven't, I would place a call to your rhuemy to see if she can give you a pack of pred for a few days. At least that would take the edge of it somewhat!

Sorry you are going through this! I know it is very painful!
