Seasons Greetings to all of my HW family!  I got discharged from the hospital today and have been home about 2 hours!  I've had every kind of test you can think of.  When I was admitted on Monday I had gained18 pounds in 7 days...fluid in my abdomen...I had mild congestive heart failure and my kidneys were sliding backwards/creatinine climbing!  They truly felt as if I was in advanced heart failure...Thankfully, that was not the case.

I have some kind of extra tract in my heart that causes the impulses to get off the normal tract and throws me into arrythmias.  The fluid was a result of my heart being out of sync and therfore unable to pump the volume as normal and so it started pushing it into my tissues or "third spacing".  So... they are sending me to a highly specialized cardiologist from LSU who will perform an "EP" where they cath the heart and stimulate the arrythmia...tract the abnormal path and ablate it!

They made some adjustments on my heart meds and the fluid began to spontaneously dissipate...I lost 12 pounds from admission on Monday until this a.m!  I feel so much better.  I can walk and breathe simultaneously!!  Which was awesome because had my neph had to aggressively go after the fluid my kidneys would have crashed again and i'd be back to dialysis! (been there, done that)  The  thyroid issue remains a mystery!!

I'm totally amazed at how awesome God has been to me and what all He has brought me through and the awesome people like you who truly care and support in times of doubt and fear and weakness!  Thank you and may God pour out on each of a Christmas Blessing so great!!! Merry Christmas!!! Love ya, Judy

P.s.  My creatinine is once again stable at 1.8~

Thanx Rose!! You're a sweetie!! I'm feeling better about this whole situation.

***By the way for all of those who were praying for my cousin Martha...she just passed away...after the massive heart attack she proceeded to have 2 massive strokes which destroyed her brain. Thank you for your prayers. God's timing is perfect...but her family is suffering.***She was a fellow "lupie".

Judy, I agree with Ginny and Stacie! You have been a huge inspiration and so helpful to me! It is such a relief to have someone to talk to who has been where I am!

How are you doing? Have you noticed any changes for the better?

Thanx Amy! I've been feeling so much better. They double one of my heart meds to keep my pulse as low as possible until I see the cardiologist/electrophysiologist and that has made me a little "draggy" I have 5 appts. before Jan 12! Ugh!

But...I was actually able to do most of the cooking and baking for my family this year and that means so much to me!!!

HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING?
