I was just like to ask for prayers for my cousin's baby.  She is 3 years old, her name is Holland.  She is in the hospital with pneumonica, rsv, asthma and they think she is a diabetic.  When she came into the hospital she had not eaten all day and her blood sugar was 300!  She is struggling for every breath right now.  Her mom is naturally shaken.  Please whisper a prayer for Miss. Holland.  Thanx, Judy

Thanx so much guys! They have determined that the high blood sugar was caused by an inhaler she was using. (steroid) She is still struggling with breathing. And I am SO ANGRY because when I called; my cousin told me the child had cried with her arm hurting all night long, which they reported multiple times to the nurse. They gave her a tylenol without ever flipping on the light and checking her iv sight. Of course, my cousin isn't a nurse and she didn't realize the iv had infiltrated! The babies arm is swollen from her shoulder to her finger tips. The antibiotics went into her tissues. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! Any nurse worth her salt would have checked that iv site!! I don't get it!!! The doctor had a big old fit when he came in and realized she had been without meds for 71/2 hours! RIDICULOUS!!! I'm so upset i'm shaking! Sorry for the rant! Thanx for the prayers, Judy

I am so sorry this is happening. It is completely unreasonable for the IV to have been like that all night. I cannot believe how negligent the nurse was.

Jesus loves our children even more then we do. I will thank him for taking care of Holland and getting her thru this tough time. Now that the medication is working properly I truely feel in my heart it will make a big difference. Unfortunately we aren't as parents given a how to book upon delivery. Thank you Lord for taking care of this little one I pray she will be up and running in notime.

Thank you all so much! What an awesome group of peopole! Holland is much better and possibly coming home soon. No diabetes!!! Thank you Jesus! The doc said she is in a rare percentage of children whose inhaler causes elevated blood sugars...not a permanent situation. Again, I appreciate your prayers and concern. Judy
