Amy, thanks for asking. My foot is recovering nicely and I'm doing real well. The surgery didn't put me in a flare, maybe because I spent 6 weeks in bed with my foot up. My new rheumy is great. He has even given me narcotics because when he first examined me he was shocked at how much pain I have. He said, "You need narcotics" and I didn't disagree with him. Since I've been taking lortab I have so much more energy and feel so much better. I've never asked a doctor for pain meds, and didn't ask him for any, because I've been afraid of being seen as drug seeking.
As for the foot, I should be back in shoes in about 6 weeks. 4 months isn't a bad recovery for as much as I had done. Thanks again for asking.
