My legs and ankles are swelling up again.cry I know the doctor said just get back in here right away if it happens again. Well call me a sissy, I don't care. You guys know how many times I have been in the hospital this past year. I just can't force myself to call the doctor. I'm so tired. I'm worn out. I have nothing left. No more needles no more iv's no more , no more, no more! All I can do is pray that his swelling goes away. I'm going to prop my feet up and see if it helps. I just can't beleive God is going to put me through this again. I just got nothin left to fight with. what am I supposed to do?cry

Carol, PLEASE call your doctor right away. Please Carol, you can do it! You need to do it. If you wait, it will get so much worse! You remember what you told Ginny in her post about how do we stop allowing lupus to change our lives....Well I agree 100% and I also think you are one of those people that you described Ginny to be. People are so encouraged by your humor and look forward to reading your posts. You are a fighter. You have been in the hopital many times this past year but you have gotten stronger from it. Remember 1 Corinthians, God will not test you more than you can handle (paraphrasing)! You dig deep, I know you have it in you to fight this again! I love you Carol and I am praying hard for you right now!

Carol, please call your doctor. It is very important. If you call now maybe there is some way to avoid the hospital but if you wait you will end up in the hospital again.

Carol,

I hate it that you're going through this over and over again. Has the extra lasix helped any? Please say yes and I won't worry as much. This is nothing to fool around with.

Love ya,

Pat

Dear Carol....I'm praying that the swelling goes down and that you begin to feel better tonight, but if not, that you will find the strength to call your doctor first thing in the morning even if you are afraid he will put you in the hospital! The Lord will be with you at home or in the hospital....as Amy said, He does not give us more than we can bear. Perhaps there is a reason that He wants you in the hospital right now. We never know His plans....

Hi Carol:

We spoke earlier today and you know I know how you're feeling. Carol don't mess around with this I'm praying for you and I hope that things improve quickly for you. Remember we'll support each other. I'm probably headed for a hospital stay myself this week. I know you hate being in the hospital I hate it too. Don't give up my friend you keep fighting I know you feel like you can't go on any further. I know you promised me you'll contact the doctor if your breathing becomes worse. I promise to you I've emailed my doctor and I'm awaiting my next instructions. You hang on and I'll hang on and we'll get through this together Carol. Love you my friend and know I'm available to you anytime, even though you think you can't call cause of how I'm doing. If you need to talk to me you call me, I mean that.

Hugs,
Barb

Dear Carol,

How would you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.....Deep breaths, and hugs your way. And YOU know, we care. And that we all have a good understanding about how sick we are, we get, we will be, and about what we need to do about it. Does that make sense? I guess what I want to say is that each of us must make decisions that are the best we can make at the time we are forced to make them. I think life is about balance and compromise. If we do this, we can't do that, or endure that consequence. And if that means you put off going to the hospital, at least call your dr. If you need rest, rest. And when you have a bit of energy, chat with us, or call Barb,

suetoo

Carol please call your doctor, you can handle whatever the result of that call are as long as you deal with this now instead of waiting for it to get worse. There are other water pills than just lasix and maybe that is what you need a different water pill.
