Is it unusual to have no pain for a few days then BAM!  Pain like no other in almost every joint?  How about being pain free until you sit down for a meal, then when you try to get up you have overwhelming pain in your knees and you can hardly walk?  My pain seems to come on so fast and severely that I'm not really sure if this is the usual for Lupus.  I have an appt with my rhuemy next month and I've been trying to keep track of whats been going on, but I consider most of us on here the experts of Lupus anyway.  I'm hoping we aren't missing something or that I'm also going to be diagnosed with some other wierd disease.  Sometimes I have swelling with the pain and sometimes just redness.
Any insight is helpful to me.

Hi Tammy,
I have bouts of pain that come and go like that too. The pain may last a few mintues or hours and stop all of a sudden. I'm interested to hear what the others say about this as well.

I Hope your appt goes well next month. Take care and keep us updated. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
