My 3 year old daughter has been suffering from back pain, ulcers on her tounge and fatigue. Her doctor did some labs and it came back that she had some inflammation, a positve ana test and a high white blood count. Her doc was concerned she may have Lupus so they sent her to a rhuemotoligst. So we went and she said my daughter was to young to have Lupus. Does this make sence to anyone?

Hi Sahm3,
I can't tell you much because I am new to this myself, but I just wanted to let you know that I am sorry you are going through this! It must be difficult watching your child in pain (I have 3 year old twins). I just joined this forum the other day and I already feel like there are people out there that not only care, but will offer support. I hope your daughter gets better!

We've had members here who have had children as young as 11 with a Lupus diagnosis. I've never read anything that claims it can't happen at a younger age.

I would suggest getting another rheumy opinion --
