I think you'll have to talk to your rheumy about that. Did you walk outside for 20 minutes? That's enough to bring mine on. I usually wait it out and it goes away, just like a flare does. I hope everything is ok. And if you don't already, please use tons of sunscreen and a huge brimmed hat when you take walks outside.

Hi Flupus, I would suggest wearing a big floopy hat outside but you were right to go early in the day try to protect your sel First you should put the strongest FPS sunscreen you can find and put it all over your body. Than wait about a half an hour so it soaks in b4 you go outside.
As for once you have a rash I recommend using aveeno oatmeal soap. It works pretty well and even the lupus org. recommend it. actually you can go to lupus foundation .org (I think). They can give you lots of suggestions.
anyway you can buy the aveeno oatmeal bar for about 4 dollars a bar so it's not for leaving in the tub for little kidlings to let soak in the water. But it also isn't outrageous either. I have used it and even though I don't get a rash often when I do I use it and it works over night.
let us know what you decide to do.

my rheumy said it was probably rosacea since exercise induces it or allergic reaction.. he was right because it went away pretty fast and i had no other lupus symptoms. my face is soooo dry though so the oatmeal soap is a great idea! thanks everyone
