So I spent a night in observation while they decided what to do with me. I will be getting a hysterectomy and losing my right ovary. I have a bunch of cysts that are causing extreme pain and no one knows why plus a big one that burst. So time to remove the problem and since my periods are near hemorage level already they have no idea what removing 1 ovary will do to them so they decided I get my wish and no my uterus, I have to have a biopsy of the lining of my uterus to make sure there isn't any cancer and then out it comes.

I am feeling less painful but still tired and weak from the cyst that burst. Wednesday I have the biopsy and they schedule the surgery. I likely will have it done before the middle of next month. They are moving that fast. I am supposed to have my period this week or next which means the biopsy could result in an emergancy hysterectomy if I start to hemorrage since my periods are near hemmoraghe level already. Scary thought is that the doctor said they would have to do it the old fashion way and use my c-section scar instead of laproscopically because of the fibroid/growth in my uterus.

Endometrial biopsies hurt like all get out. Add in the doctor who did it refused to let me schedule my hysterectomy because she objects to my AGE and weight and wants me to instead have the growth removed undergo endometrial ablation and get an IUD none of which solve the problem of the re-occuring cysts her answer to that was they could give me narcotic pain meds for cysts. She needs to get bent. I will be so glad when my doctor is back in the office. I know he will do the surgery as there is another doctor in the office who backs me up on this and my doctor had said the decision was mine to make not his. But this means it will be the end next month before the surgery happens. Not ideal. Oh well, who said I needed ideal I just need the permanent solution.

Hi Redrose, I actually came on here to see what was up with your surgery. I have to say that doctor is an idiot. The only criteria that they normally ask is are you married and out many children you have. I'm glad the biopsy is over with though. I'm sorry you were in pain. Yes if you can't get them to do it you should find another doctor.
yeah a couple extra weeks wont matter as long as you are using birth control right now.
keep up informed

Doctors and medicine can be so frustrating. I hope your doctor comes up with a treatment that works for you. After I recovered from my hysterectomy I felt better than I had in years. Good luck.
