I'm sorry you're sick and hope you're able to get in to see a rheumy soon. Even when I'm on the cancellation list, I always call from time to time to check in. The squeaky wheel, you know.

This is your first post. Have you been sick long? What are your symptoms? I'm glad you've joined us here. It's an amazing group.

I have never had something hit me as fast or as hard as what this did. I know I'm getting older but I didn't think it happened over night. When I woke Thursday morning my face and fingers were swollen huge, I could barely bend my fingers, my wrists, elbows, knees, and shoulders were stiff and ached and I could barely walk. I popped a couple of motrin thought I just need to move around I'll be fine. I went to work and I like to have never made it up the stairs at work. I knew something was major wrong.

I don't take any medicines. I haven't been to the doctor except when I was pregnant. I drove myself to the hospital when I was in labor with Dakota and Zack and after having an emergency c-section with Lexie the day I was dc'd from the hopsital I drove 2 1/2 hours one way (5hours round trip) to see Lexie where she was in the NICU. Nothing usually gets me down.

The girls at work said they new something was bad wrong with me when I even mentioned going to the doctor lol. I went and they drew lab work and started me on Voltaren 50mg 2xday. Before I left work Thursday evening they called me back to let me know I test positive for the rheumatoid antibody. Then on
Monday I got the results of my ANA and Anti DNA DS back.

It sounds like your doctor has taken your symptoms and your labs seriously if he's trying so hard to get you in to see a rheumatologist. The earlier you can start treatment, the better off you'll be.

You really have your hands full with a job and three children. I hope everything goes ok for you.
