mad  HI I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM.  I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS TO ASK. FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN IN A REALLY BAD FLARE OR SOMETHING. SYMPTOMS ARE, DIZZINESS, SEVERE FATIGUE, SEVERE JOINT PAIN, MILD HEADACHES, RASH ON ARM AND LEGS, VERTIGO, MOUTH SORES, ACHEY JAW, STIFF MUSCLES, PUFFY FINGERS AND OCCASSIONALLY PUFFY EYES, WEIGHT GAIN, DEPRESSION, AND VERY EMOTIONAL. MY FLARE SEEMS TO GET WORSE WHEN I AM IN THE HEAT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, SUN, HOT SHOWER, HOT TUB ETC..  I HAVE GONE TO A  MS SPECIALIST IN BURLINGTON AND HAD 3 BRAIN MRI'S, 1 LUMBAR MRI, AND A FAILED LUMBAR PUNCTURE AS WELL AS SEVERAL BLOOD TESTS.  RESULTS WERE, LOW B12, HIGH SED RATE, 4 DEMYLICATION MARKS ON MY BRAIN, ETC.  MY DR WANTS TO SEE ME IN 3 MONTHS FOR ANOTHER MRI. SHE DOES NOT SEE THAT IT IS MS AT THIS POINT.  WHAT DO I HAVE, I KNOW IT IS SOMETHING, IS IT LUPUS, MS, RA WHAT.  I NOW HAVE ANOTHER APPT WITH A REUMATOLOGIST ON MAY 18TH. HE IS SUPPOSE TO BE EXCELLENT.  I HAE KEPT A JOURNAL UP TP THIS POINT WITH ALL MY DAILY SYMPTOMS.  I HOPE I CAN GET AN ANSWER, I AM SO TIRED OF BEING SICK.  SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY BODY.  THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Welcome to our forum Riddle. I'm so sorry you've been sick. It took me 2 years to get a diagnosis and that's fairly common with lupus. I can't remember the link to the 11 signs of lupus, but I'm sure someone will tell you. The criteria are very specific which seems like a disadvantage when you feel like poo and can't get a diagnosis. I hope your doc is at least treating your symptoms. It's really impossible to say you have lupus, but it sure sounds like you have MS, RA, lupus or some autoimmune process. I don't want to wish any of these on anyone, but I hope you get a dianosis soon so you can be treated. Please let us know how you're doing okay? Love, Butterflake

I can't diagnose you, Riddlebabe, but I applaud you for having kept a journal. Good luck with your rheumy's appointment on the 18th. Do let us know what he has to say.

Also, for future posting, please do not use all caps. It is very difficult to read and strains the eyes! thanks for understanding
