Since a low magnesium level can, over time, cause persistently low calcium and potassium levels, it may be checked to help diagnose problems with calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and/or parathyroid hormone – another component of calcium regulation.

Amy, you know more about Mg than I ever did! I wouldn't be surprised if mine has never been measured. I hope someone else can help you. Love, Butterflake

I had a doctor tell me that low Mg can cause joint pain, I hope this solves a lot of pain issues for you.  Mne was tested and all my meneral levels were fine, so unfortunately it wasn't the answer for me.  Best of luck to you.

Everyone with any illness needs to take mag suppliment. Since imbalance (which is what illness is) drains the body of calcium and mag.

Testing is not a way to tell if you need mag. If you're sick and /or over 40, everyone needs mag supplements either by ingesting high mag foods or supplement.
