I would love to find a place to live where the humidity is always low, the sun is always mild and never glaring or brutal.  Where shady trees are abundant and never full of bees or ticks or mosquitoes.  When it rains, it is never preceded or followed by days of high pressure pressure overcast drabness.  And the temperature is always a nice 65-69 degrees.  AAAHHHHH!!!!

We've had about three days of hot humid rain on and off and thunder and lightening. I don't know why, but electrical storms really really make me hurt. I comlpain about the ticks because I have sprayed my yard, and put two different products on my dogs and still have to do a daily tick pick. YUCK! I'd like to say I can't wait until this weather clears, but then the sun is going to be so glaring bright it actually gives me headaches, well at least I'll have something interesting to dicuss with the neurologist on Tuesday. Hope everyone has a great week.

Hey Jennifer. I probably think about this too much! I hate the summers here in Atlanta. Summer isn't even here yet and I can't even get dressed after a bath without dripping sweat. I lived in Arizona before being diagnosed with lupus and except for the hot summer days, it was nice. No humidity and even summer nights were in the 60s. I think alot about moving someplace cold. I love watching it snow and I figure I can always put more clothes on, but only take so much off. I'd like to hear anyone elses thoughts on this. Love, Butterflake

Hi

You should try Australia. The top end is HOT, HUMID, TICKS & BUGS ON STEROIDS lol - I live in South Australia where we have a much more mild climate & considerably less "live stock", or at least the bugs are a civilized size. It can get to 40 celsius for a week or so in summer but not too bad humidity wise. I definitely don't cope with humidity.
I'm with you "butterflake" you can put on more clothes or rug up in front of a fire BUT you can take off all your clothes & what do you have - a HOT, NAKED, BODY lol

Hey Butterflake, I'm North of Atlanta, I'm up here in Blue Ridge. These rainy spells have lefts us hot and muggy and yes summer is barely getting started. Snow is pretty here, though, but it is still damp and the cold makes the joints hurt really really bad. So we can't do weather that's too cold either. Too bad we can't can't just find a mild dry climate and become nocturnal. That might work, but I'd hate to think what that might do to my kids. LOL The Georgia Vampire kids. LOL I also must say that I really love my moutains. I can't get too much and having these beautiful mountains to look at everyday is so wonderful especially since I grew up in flat flat hot hot Miami. I guess we just have to make the best with what we have, although New Zealand sure looks pretty.

LOL, this topic made me laugh! Yes, I imagine the same thing on a regular basis...excpet in the mid 70's would be perfect for me!! My dream also has free prescriptions and a doctor that is my own personal doctor that can follow me around and see all my weirdness when it comes to Lupus. haha!!! I don't have dreams to be rich or even own my own house...just dreams of better health, maybe one day there will be a new medicine or even a cure!!! One can sure dream about it :)

Amy, I think there is a new one in Stage 3 clinical trias. It may just be a couple of years away now. Lets keep praying.
