Well, since the rheumy suggested I have symptoms of MS I've been looking up info and while I do have some of the symptoms (CNS related) I don't think it applies to me. In my searching I ran across the symptoms of Lyme disease. OMGosh! There they all were including an enlarged liver and light sensitivity! I am from the south and have found many a tick on my body so it's a definite possibility. So, when I go back to the rheumy in 2 weeks I'm gonna have him check me for ticks-hehe. If that's not it, then maybe I should see a psychiatrist. Either way, I'm not giving up till someone tells me what's wrong with me. I always found the idea of a padded cell as somewhat comforting lol.

Hi Jes, there is a section here on lyme disease. Maybe you could chat with some of them and be armed with knowledge about it when you go see your rheumy. I'm about ready for a rubber room myself right now. it's almost 4:30 and my insomia in making me crazy.

Hi Jesimae, I've been tested twice for Lyme since I used to be a Vet Tech and a kennel supervisor at an animal shelter, never came back positive. I couldn't believe I was actually praying that I had Lyme disease becaus at least it is easier to treat then Lupus or other AI conditions. Either way I hope your results come back in the most manageable way possible and that you soon find relief. Take care and watch out for those nasty little critters, they're vicious this season.

Thanks, guys. I don't know what to hope for exactly. Don't really want any of the possibilities! What's wrong with normal? I know you guys think that a lot! But I was normal-once. Before Mono. Since then it's been one weird thing after another. Biting my nails waiting for the 27th. This is agonizing-the waiting...

Come over to the lyme board. I was dx with lupus and then figured out I had lyme. I think the untreated lyme caused my lupus.

Also Puccini, lyme testing is 95% faulty. Because you were dx negative doesn't mean you don't have it.
If you did the Elisa or typical western blot, they often show false negatives.
Igenex testing is more accurate, though not full proof and it's mostly a clinical dx.
And lyme is not easier to treat than lupus, it's actually more of a nightmare.

Lyme does mask as lupus

Sorry, my bad. I don't think it's Lyme because my skin s sensitive I've always felt them crawling and I've never had to pull one out. Which is hard to believe considering my exposure o the nasty little devils. I've pulled out plenty from dogs hubby and kids but not me. I'm kinda like the princess and the pea, can't stand the slightest little crumb in my bed either.

Well, I actually remember telling my Mom (she has fibro) about a girl that I worked with who had Lupus and Fibro. She told me that her rheumy checked her tick titer and it was positive. He told her that is one of the theories of what causes some of these immune disorders. But my Mom said her rheumy checked it already and said it was fine. Hmm...

You don't always see the tic or can't always recall if you ever saw one. You could have been bit 15 yrs ago, got sick then, forgot about it and then years later, the bacteria resufaces.

Lyme is a tricky thing
