It looks like a lot of people take trazodone. My doc gave it to me to help me sleep but I noticed it made a big difference in my pain the next day. I know it is a tricyclic antidepressant. Does trazodone work this way for other who have joint pain? It makes me a bit drowsy the next day and I only take 25 mgs. I had my skin biopsy yesterday. The derm said my rash doesn't look like lupus. Well, it doesn't look like what they say it is either!!! lol.. Maybe the rash is totally unrelated to the joint pain and colitis. I am tired of not knowing what this is all caused from and it all started around the same time. I try to be grateful though. It could be worse. If we don't enjoy each day, it is lost.

I've taken Trazodone for years now for sleep (chronic insomnia + prednsione = lots of time awake!)

For me, it did help calm some of the joint pain, but only because I get restful sleep!, which is a healing agent naturally!

It sounds like you have some kind of inflammatory condition which they may never decide on a diagnosis...but when your skin gets inflamed it can look like a million different things! I've decided unless the dermatologists decide it's cancer, pre-cancer, and if it isn't anywhere to distract me from a normal life, I don't care. Rash away!

I take Tazadone, I can't say it's done much for my pain or sleep, but it's one of the few anit-D's that hasn't made me crash into a major depressive episode so I guess I'm sicking with it for awhile. I so glad to hear it works so well for both of you. I'd love to find something that works for me like that, but I'm not tha stong enough to start pill jumping quite yet. I'm working on trying to quiet a pretty big flare. So it's off to rest for me.
