Hi:) I'm not from Vancouver, but VERY close...Vancouver Island. I have switched Dr's twice, and am fairly happy with my 3rd. I now have a Theumy who comes over a the Island a few times a year and I see him then. If I needed to see him more often I'd go over there. For you it would work well. I was so disillusioned from my first 2 docs that I was sooooo blown away when I went to see him. I ended up having a 2 1/2hr first consultation. Wow! Mind you I was with a student who was going over a lot of things with me, but he spent a really decent chunk of time with me too. My previous Dr's only spent 2-3 min tops and were rushing me out of the door right after I sat down. So, if you'd like a name, lemme know. I don't know if we're supposed to post Dr's names on here or now, and so I won't..but I could email you a name if you'd like. You're the first person I've seen post that lives so close to me. I think it's cool. No matter what I hope that you end up finding a really good rheumatologist for yourself. You need to feel comfortable with who you have. Take care. I will be watching for a reply.
It is God that gives me the strength to carry on in the valleys of life and the wings to fly to the mountain tops
